NSW Feed in Tariff (Solar Bonus Scheme):
A Gross Feed in Tariff (GFIT) has been announced by the NSW government which came into effect 1st Jan 2010 and is legislated for 7 years. Under this scheme, the system produces electricity and all of it is exported to the grid. You will recieve credits on your electricity account for 60c per kWh of energy exported. To be eligible the system must be smaller than 10 kWp and your annual consumption must be less than 160 MWh per year. (This equates to approx 430kWh per day, which means most homes and small to medium businesses will be eligible.) Conditions apply.
Gross Metering:
Gross Metering can be fitted by any level 2 electrician (Country Energy refers to them as Accredited Service Providers - ASPs) during or after our installation. We can supply you with a list of level 2 electricians in the area and we suggest you request a quote.
Solar Credits:
All of our quotes include estimated proceeds of the sale of the Solar Credits and Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), based on the price of the RECs at that date. We now have the claim forms from various REC traders to get you the best price, so everything is in place to have your system installed and then claim the Solar Credits. You should receive the proceeds in your bank account within a couple of weeks of installation.
